Responsibility
- Prepare and cook Nando's signature peri-peri chicken and side dishes according to brand standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized workspace to uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
- Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service to guests, taking orders, answering questions about the menu, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, including processing payments, issuing receipts, and managing the POS system.
- Set up and maintain dining areas, including tables, condiments, and utensils, to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Assist in receiving and storing inventory, including food supplies and restaurant equipment, while adhering to stock rotation and storage guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours, including multitasking between kitchen and service duties as needed.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and company policies, including proper food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, fast-casual, or hospitality environment is a plus, but not required—we provide full training!
- Strong communication skills in English; additional languages (Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, etc.) are a bonus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and high energy.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders accurately.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the restaurant's schedule.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 15 kg, and perform repetitive tasks in a hot kitchen environment.
- Team player mindset with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a collaborative work culture.
