Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests for digestive health concerns.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with gastrointestinal disorders, such as IBS, GERD, liver diseases, and colorectal conditions.
- Collaborate with specialists across disciplines (e.g., surgeons, oncologists, radiologists) to ensure integrated, holistic patient care.
- Perform and interpret endoscopic procedures (e.g., colonoscopies, gastroscopies) under supervision, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments, and provide follow-up care to optimize recovery and long-term health.
- Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to advance digestive health practices.
- Educate patients and families on preventive care, dietary adjustments, and lifestyle modifications for digestive wellness.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and institutional policies.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution, with valid medical license to practice in Indonesia (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Completion of internship/residency training in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in clinical diagnosis and treatment of digestive system disorders (e.g., through rotations or prior roles).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Familiarity with endoscopic techniques and digestive health protocols (training provided for candidates with foundational knowledge).
- Commitment to continuing medical education and staying current with advances in gastroenterology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with a patient-first mindset.
- Fluency in English (required); proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
