Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and optimize waste treatment processes, including biological, chemical, and physical methods, to enhance resource recovery and reduce environmental impact.
  • Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale experiments to test and validate innovative waste treatment technologies, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Analyze data from experiments and field studies to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, environmental, and operational teams to integrate research findings into practical, real-world applications.
  • Develop and implement protocols for waste characterization, treatment, and resource recovery to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at industry conferences to share knowledge and drive innovation in the field.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners, to align research with local and global sustainability goals.

Qualifications

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field with a focus on waste treatment or resource recovery.
  • Proven experience in conducting research and development projects related to waste treatment, resource recovery, or circular economy solutions.
  • Strong background in laboratory techniques, including analytical methods, process optimization, and data analysis using tools such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
  • Hands-on experience with waste characterization, treatment technologies (e.g., anaerobic digestion, composting, pyrolysis), and resource recovery processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards related to waste management and environmental sustainability in Indonesia or Southeast Asia.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions.
