The National University of Singapore (NUS) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Fellow (Qualitative Research) to join our dynamic academic community. Responsibility

  • Transcribe, code, and analyze qualitative data using industry-standard software like NVivo or ATLAS.ti.
  • Develop detailed research reports, academic papers, and policy-relevant publications for peer-reviewed journals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams to integrate qualitative insights into broader research frameworks.
  • Present research findings at departmental seminars, academic conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Mentor junior researchers and research assistants on qualitative methodologies and ethical best practices.
  • Manage research projects to ensure timelines and deliverables are met with high accuracy.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Social Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
  • Proven expertise in qualitative research methodologies and theoretical frameworks.
  • Demonstrated record of academic publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Proficiency in qualitative data analysis software (e.g., NVivo, MAXQDA, or ATLAS.ti).
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse research participants.
  • Experience in managing research ethics board (IRB) applications and ensuring compliance.
  • Ability to work independently as well as contribute collaboratively within a large research ecosystem.
