Responsibility
- Lead and conduct research on the design, fabrication, and characterization of advanced composite materials tailored for additive manufacturing processes.
- Develop and optimize 3D printing techniques for high-performance composite structures, ensuring scalability and industrial applicability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and validate material properties, including mechanical, thermal, and chemical performance.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
- Mentor junior researchers and students, fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in composite materials and additive manufacturing, integrating new methodologies into research.
- Prepare technical reports, grant proposals, and patent applications to secure funding and protect intellectual property.
- Work closely with industry partners to translate research into commercial applications.
Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in composite materials research, with a focus on additive manufacturing (e.g., FDM, SLS, DLP).
- Strong background in material characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, XRD, DMA, tensile testing).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
- Demonstrated track record of publications in high-impact journals or conference presentations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO) for material testing and certification is a plus.
