Responsibility
- Lead applied AI research projects focused on clinical healthcare challenges, particularly in maternal and pediatric care.
- Develop and implement machine learning models to analyze healthcare data and improve diagnostic accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, data scientists, and software engineers, to translate research into practical solutions.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
- Design and conduct experiments to validate AI models, ensuring they meet clinical and regulatory standards.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the development of the research team.
- Stay abreast of advancements in AI, machine learning, and healthcare technology to inform research directions.
- Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and data privacy regulations in all research activities.
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in applied AI research, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages, with experience in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of publishing research in reputable journals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and big data technologies is a plus.
