Responsibility
- Lead and supervise a team of researchers in developing innovative agricultural solutions, including crop improvement, pest control, and sustainable farming techniques.
- Design, implement, and monitor R&D projects from conception to commercialization, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including agronomists, engineers, and business development, to integrate research findings into practical applications.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for product and process innovation.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and progress updates to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements for agricultural research and product development.
- Manage R&D budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and optimize laboratory and field trial operations.
- Foster partnerships with universities, research institutions, and industry leaders to enhance knowledge sharing and technology transfer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Biotechnology, or a related field; PhD is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in agricultural R&D, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing R&D projects, from experimental design to commercialization, in the agricultural sector.
- Strong knowledge of crop science, soil health, pest management, and sustainable farming practices.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., statistical software, GIS) and laboratory techniques.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills, with the ability to mentor junior researchers.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel to field sites and collaborate with teams across Bali and Java.
