Responsibility

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of mental health research studies, including literature reviews, hypothesis formulation, and methodology planning.
  • Collect, process, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, or Python) and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Prepare research reports, presentations, and manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, psychologists, and community partners, to ensure research aligns with real-world mental health needs.
  • Coordinate ethical approval processes, participant recruitment, and informed consent procedures in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and provide regular updates to senior researchers and stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in mental health research and contribute to grant proposals and funding applications.
  • Support the dissemination of research findings through workshops, seminars, and public outreach initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field. A PhD is a plus for Research Officer positions.
  • Proven experience (1-3 years) in mental health research, clinical studies, or community-based projects, preferably in a multicultural or Southeast Asian context.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, including proficiency in statistical analysis and research methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Indonesian or local languages is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with research ethics, data protection regulations, and IRB (Institutional Review Board) processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to mental health advocacy and a passion for improving health outcomes in underserved communities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, research databases (e.g., PubMed, Scopus), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, NVivo).
