Responsibility
- Transcribe and document patient encounters in real-time during virtual consultations with US healthcare providers.
- Accurately update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) with detailed medical histories, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Assist physicians by organizing and prioritizing patient information for efficient workflow.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations in all documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to clarify medical terminology and ensure precise record-keeping.
- Review and edit medical documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Provide administrative support, such as scheduling follow-ups and managing patient communications (when required).
- Stay updated on medical terminology, coding standards, and best practices in medical documentation.
Qualifications
- Registered medical practitioner (e.g., nurse, medical technologist, or allied health professional) OR at least 1 year of experience as a medical scribe.
- Strong understanding of US medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) with excellent grammar and attention to detail.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or similar).
- Ability to type at least 60 WPM with high accuracy.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet workspace for virtual consultations.
