Responsibility
- Manage the end-to-end provider credentialing process, including verification of licenses, certifications, and work history.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as payer-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to gather and update necessary documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in credentialing databases and systems.
- Liaise with insurance companies and regulatory bodies to facilitate provider enrollment and re-credentialing.
- Monitor and track credentialing deadlines to ensure timely renewals and avoid lapses.
- Resolve discrepancies or issues in provider credentials through thorough research and communication.
- Provide regular reports on credentialing status and compliance metrics to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in provider credentialing, preferably in a telehealth or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of credentialing standards, including NCQA, URAC, and CMS regulations.
- Proficiency in credentialing software and databases (e.g., CAQH, NPPES).
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with providers and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare compliance requirements.
