Responsibility
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic test evaluations.
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, risks, benefits, and post-operative care instructions.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure all pre-operative requirements, such as fasting, medication adjustments, and lab tests, are met.
- Monitor and manage patient anxiety, providing emotional support and reassurance throughout the pre-operative process.
- Administer pre-operative medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility protocols.
- Assist in the preparation of the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance pre-operative care standards and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a POC Nurse or in a similar pre-operative care role.
- Valid nursing license and certification in Indonesia.
- Strong clinical knowledge of pre-operative care protocols, surgical procedures, and patient safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technologies.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to nursing care.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is preferred.
