Responsibility
- Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical and electrical projects using Simpro software.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to procure materials and services within budget and timeline.
- Manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion and adherence to client specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to review project plans and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and present detailed project reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress and any risks.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and labor costs to enhance estimating accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams to resolve any issues that may arise during execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an M&E Estimator or Project Coordinator, preferably in the construction or engineering sector.
- Proficiency in Simpro software or similar estimating tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with local and international building codes and standards.
- Experience working remotely or in a distributed team environment is a plus.
