Responsibility
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and IFRS.
- Manage general ledger accounts, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing processes.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
- Ensure tax compliance, including GST, BAS, and other Australian tax obligations.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA qualification is a plus.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in general accounting, with proven expertise in Australian accounting.
- Strong knowledge of AASB, IFRS, and Australian tax regulations (GST, BAS, etc.).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English.
- Experience working in a remote or offshore accounting environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
