Responsibility
- Oversee end-to-end corporate tax processes, including preparation, filing, and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (e.g., VAT, CIT, WHT, and local taxes).
- Ensure strict compliance with Indonesian tax laws (e.g., UU PPh, PPN, and regional regulations) and proactively monitor legislative changes to mitigate risks.
- Conduct tax health checks, reconcile tax accounts, and resolve discrepancies to maintain accuracy in financial statements.
- Lead tax audits and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities (DJP), and consultants to address inquiries and optimize tax positions.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities while aligning with business objectives.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and HR teams to ensure tax implications are considered in contracts, payroll, and cross-border transactions.
- Prepare tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and transfer pricing documentation in accordance with OECD and local guidelines.
- Train and mentor junior staff on tax procedures, software (e.g., e-SPT, e-Faktur), and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or Law; a Master’s in Taxation or Brevet A/B/C certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate tax, preferably in a multinational company, public accounting firm, or tax consultancy.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations (PPh 21/22/23/25/26, PPN, PP 46/2013, etc.) and familiarity with international tax principles.
- Proficient in tax software (e.g., e-SPT, e-Faktur, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to interpret complex tax issues and present solutions to stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian; ability to draft clear tax memos and correspond with authorities.
- Proven track record of managing tax audits, objections, and disputes with the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP).
- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
