Responsibility
- Investigate and process freight damage claims from receipt to resolution, ensuring compliance with company policies and carrier agreements.
- Negotiate with carriers, shippers, and insurers to recover costs for damaged, lost, or delayed shipments.
- Prepare and submit detailed claim documentation, including invoices, photos, and inspection reports.
- Track and analyze claims data to identify trends, reduce future losses, and improve logistics efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, finance, legal) to resolve complex claims and disputes.
- Maintain accurate records of all claims in internal databases and generate reports for management review.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and carrier contracts to ensure claims are filed correctly and promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders during the claims process.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in freight claims, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of freight billing, carrier contracts, and transportation laws.
- Proven ability to negotiate and resolve disputes with carriers and insurers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and claims management software.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred).
