Responsibility
- Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial records match bank statements.
- Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with Australian accounting standards.
- Manage payroll processing, including tax calculations and superannuation (if applicable).
- Provide administrative support for financial reporting and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks).
- Generate financial reports and assist with month-end closing procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounting Clerk, preferably with Australian clients.
- Strong knowledge of AU accounting principles, GST, and payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with bank reconciliation, AP/AR processes, and journal entries.
- Clear communication skills in English (written and verbal).
