Responsibility
- Prepare and maintain accurate management accounts for property portfolios in compliance with Australian accounting standards.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
- Conduct budgeting and forecasting for property-related expenses and revenues.
- Ensure timely and accurate rent collection, tenant billing, and lease administration processes.
- Reconcile bank statements, trust accounts, and general ledger entries with meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborate with property managers to analyze financial performance and recommend cost-saving strategies.
- Support audit preparations and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Utilize property management software (e.g., MRI, Yardi) and ERP systems to streamline accounting workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CA qualification is a plus.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in property management accounting, preferably with Australian clients.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian GAAP, GST, and tax regulations for property sectors.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on financial accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, property managers, and tenants.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with trust accounting and property-specific financial reporting is highly desirable.
