Responsibility
- Prepare and file Australian tax returns (individual, company, trust, and SMSF) in compliance with ATO regulations.
- Provide expert advice on tax planning, deductions, and obligations for AU-based clients.
- Conduct thorough financial statement analysis and ensure accuracy in tax-related documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in Australian tax laws and implement best practices for client compliance.
- Liaise with clients, tax authorities, and internal teams to resolve tax inquiries and disputes.
- Assist in audit support and prepare responses to ATO notices or reviews.
- Utilize tax software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or Class) to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain confidential and organized records of client financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CA qualification is a plus).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Australian taxation, with a focus on individual and business returns.
- In-depth knowledge of ATO regulations, GST, PAYG, and capital gains tax.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, Class, or BGL).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with Australian Superannuation (SMSF) regulations is highly desirable.
- Attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
