The Municipal Government of Balabagan, Lanao Del Sur, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registration Officer I to join our local administrative team. Responsibility

  • Receive, verify, and process applications for birth, marriage, and death registrations in accordance with national and local civil registry laws.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely filing of all civil registry documents and supporting papers.
  • Provide professional, courteous, and efficient assistance to walk-in clients regarding registration inquiries and requirements.
  • Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems for all registered vital documents.
  • Coordinate with the Municipal Civil Registrar in preparing and submitting monthly reports to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
  • Facilitate the timely issuance of certified copies of civil registry documents to requesting parties.
  • Perform field verification or administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor to support departmental goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Public Administration, Office Administration, or Social Sciences.
  • Preferably a Career Service (Sub-Professional) or Professional Civil Service Eligibility holder.
  • Proven experience in administrative, clerical, or data entry roles is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and general computer literacy.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English and Filipino/local dialects.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with the public in a professional, empathetic manner.
