Responsibility
- Deliver high-quality palliative nursing care to patients with terminal illnesses, ensuring pain management and symptom control.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and counselors to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate and dignified environment.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress accurately in compliance with medical standards.
- Educate patients and families on disease progression, treatment options, and end-of-life care strategies.
- Coordinate with community resources to facilitate seamless transitions between home care, hospice facilities, and hospitals.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on best practices in palliative care.
- Uphold ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care, maintaining confidentiality and respect.
Qualifications
- Valid registration as a Registered Nurse with the Malaysian Nursing Board or equivalent international certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in palliative care, oncology, or geriatrics.
- Strong knowledge of pain management techniques, symptom assessment, and end-of-life care protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide empathetic support to patients and families.
- Proficiency in medical documentation and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in diverse settings.
- Certification in palliative care (e.g., CHPN) is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to travel within Bali and surrounding areas as needed.
