Responsibility
- Administer chemotherapy and other oncology treatments under physician supervision, ensuring strict adherence to protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and treatment responses, documenting all observations accurately in electronic health records.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families, helping them navigate the challenges of cancer treatment with empathy and clarity.
- Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Manage and maintain chemotherapy equipment, ensuring proper sterilization, calibration, and compliance with infection control policies.
- Educate patients on side effect management, medication adherence, and lifestyle adjustments to improve treatment outcomes.
- Participate in oncology nursing training, workshops, and certifications to stay updated on the latest advancements in cancer care.
- Uphold ethical standards and patient confidentiality in all interactions, fostering trust and respect within the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Valid Indonesian Nursing License (STR) and registration with the Indonesian Nurses Association (PPNI).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in oncology, chemotherapy administration, or critical care nursing.
- Certification in Oncology Nursing (e.g., OCN or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations with composure, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly.
- Strong knowledge of chemotherapy protocols, IV therapy, and symptom management for cancer patients.
- Commitment to patient-centered care, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts, as needed.
