Responsibility
- Administer and monitor hemodialysis treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions and established protocols.
- Assess patientsâ vital signs, fluid status, and overall condition before, during, and after dialysis sessions.
- Operate and maintain dialysis machines, ensuring proper sterilization, calibration, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on kidney disease management, dietary restrictions, and self-care techniques.
- Document accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment parameters, adverse reactions, and progress notes.
- Collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, and social workers to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, such as hypotension or machine malfunctions, with appropriate interventions.
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety standards to prevent complications and ensure a sterile environment.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license (preferably with specialization in nephrology or dialysis).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in hemodialysis or a related field.
- Certification in Hemodialysis Nursing (e.g., CNN, CDN) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of renal anatomy, physiology, and dialysis principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and families.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using dialysis equipment and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other local languages is advantageous.
