Responsibility
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to penetrate and expand Weg’s OEM market share in Malaysia, focusing on industrial, automation, and energy sectors.
- Identify, engage, and convert new business opportunities through proactive outreach, market research, and networking with key decision-makers.
- Manage and grow key accounts by understanding client needs, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, marketing, logistics) to deliver customized product solutions and seamless order fulfillment.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close high-value deals while maintaining profitability and alignment with company policies.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and identify emerging opportunities.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
- Represent Weg at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to build brand awareness and strengthen professional networks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A background in electrical/mechanical engineering is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the OEM, industrial automation, or electrical equipment sectors.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive market, with experience in Malaysia or Southeast Asia.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin is highly advantageous.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Malaysia and occasionally to other Southeast Asian markets.
