Based in Bali (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, or surrounding areas), you'll oversee the entire sales lifecycle for the Indian Beedi market, from distributor relationships to retail penetration. You'll work closely with our Singapore-based leadership team while managing a network of distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts across India. Responsibility
- Develop and execute the annual sales strategy for the India Beedi market, including volume targets, revenue projections, and market share objectives
- Manage and expand relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, and retail chains across India, ensuring optimal product availability and visibility
- Lead a team of sales representatives and regional managers, providing coaching, performance management, and career development
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and emerging trends in the Beedi industry
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop localized promotional campaigns and trade marketing initiatives
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing regular updates to Singapore headquarters
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations, tax requirements, and industry standards in both Indonesia and India
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and government meetings as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of sales management experience in FMCG, tobacco, or consumer goods industries
- Proven track record of successfully managing sales operations in India, with specific experience in the Beedi market preferred
- Strong understanding of Indian distribution channels, retail networks, and regulatory environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills in English
- Experience managing remote teams and working in cross-cultural environments
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics tools
- Willingness to travel to India up to 30% of the time
