Responsibility
- Own and manage DAP inputs to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with regional and global equipment planning strategies.
- Drive stakeholder engagement across operations, finance, and commercial teams to validate data integrity and proposal adherence.
- Optimize equipment allocation by analyzing demand forecasts, vessel schedules, and inventory levels to minimize costs and maximize utilization.
- Develop and implement system improvements to enhance the efficiency of planning tools and workflows.
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics related to equipment planning, reporting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Lead cross-functional projects to streamline processes, reduce bottlenecks, and improve regional equipment turnaround times.
- Ensure compliance with Hapag-Lloyd’s global standards, policies, and best practices in equipment management.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate new technologies (e.g., AI, predictive analytics) into planning systems for smarter decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in equipment planning, maritime logistics, or container shipping operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or regional role.
- Proven expertise in demand forecasting, allocation planning (DAP), and inventory optimization.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and ERP/Planning Systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities to influence decisions across multiple teams.
- Familiarity with maritime industry standards (e.g., ISO, TEU calculations) and regulatory compliance.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, German) are advantageous.
