Responsibility
- Develop and implement regional EHS strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of EHS professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business operations and project planning.
- Design and deliver EHS training programs to enhance employee awareness and competence.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Drive sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental footprint and promote resource efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive EHS experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a multinational corporation.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, and other relevant standards.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing EHS management systems and achieving measurable improvements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in conducting EHS audits, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
- Willingness to travel regionally as required.
