Responsibility
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliation of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare and analyze reconciliation reports for management review, highlighting variances and trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, Treasury) to validate transactions and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, audit schedules, and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Develop and maintain process documentation for reconciliation procedures to improve efficiency and transparency.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, adjustments, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to extract, manipulate, and verify financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in reconciliation, general ledger accounting, or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros).
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations applicable to construction or large-scale projects.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, contract-based environment.
- Prior experience in the construction, engineering, or infrastructure industry is highly advantageous.
