Responsibility
- Conduct in-depth research on raw materials, additives, and alternative components to enhance product performance and sustainability.
- Design and develop prototypes for new products, ensuring alignment with market trends and company standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality assurance, marketing) to transition prototypes into mass production.
- Perform trial runs in production environments, analyze results, and iterate designs based on feedback.
- Document research findings, experimental procedures, and product specifications for internal and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor industry advancements and competitor products to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Assist in troubleshooting production issues related to material performance or design flaws.
- Support sustainability initiatives by exploring eco-friendly materials and waste-reduction strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in R&D, product development, or a similar role within the consumer goods industry.
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, MATLAB).
- Strong understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes, and quality control standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to experimentation and testing.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, with strong communication and project management skills.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in product design is a plus.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Indonesian is beneficial.
