Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize sputter deposition processes for thin-film applications using PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) systems.
- Conduct material characterization (SEM, XRD, AFM, etc.) to analyze film properties and performance.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to troubleshoot process issues and improve yield, uniformity, and adhesion of deposited films.
- Document experimental procedures, results, and recommendations in detailed technical reports.
- Support the scale-up of lab processes to pilot or production levels while maintaining quality standards.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in sputter technology and propose innovative solutions for project enhancement.
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of sputtering equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., product development, quality assurance) to align R&D goals with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (entry-level candidates welcome).
- Strong theoretical and/or practical knowledge of thin-film deposition techniques, particularly sputtering.
- Familiarity with material characterization tools (e.g., SEM, XRD, ellipsometry) is a plus.
- Experience with vacuum systems, plasma physics, or cleanroom protocols is advantageous.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Origin, MATLAB, Python) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced R&D environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
