Responsibility
- Lead assigned design work packages through the entire PD cycle, from concept and feasibility analysis to detailed design and prototyping.
- Develop and validate technical specifications for new products, ensuring alignment with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain) to optimize designs for production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of prototypes, identifying and resolving design flaws to meet performance and safety benchmarks.
- Utilize CAD software and simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create and refine 3D models and technical drawings.
- Document design processes, test results, and engineering changes in compliance with ISO and company standards.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and materials in security and access solutions, proposing innovative improvements to existing products.
- Provide technical support to production teams during pilot runs and full-scale manufacturing, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in R&D, product development, or a similar engineering role, preferably in the security or access control industry.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining) and material science.
- Experience with DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to design validation.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian) are advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
