Are you an aspiring Quantity Surveyor looking to kickstart your career with a leading developer? Radium Development is offering an immersive Quantity Surveyor Internship in Kuala Lumpur. As an intern, you will work closely with our experienced QS team, gaining hands-on experience in both pre-contract estimation and post-contract cost management. You will be exposed to real-world challenges, including tender documentation, site valuations, and final account reconciliation. Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify work completion for progress claims.
- Assist in the preparation of progress payment applications and sub-contractor certification.
- Analyze project cost variations and assist in the drafting of variation orders (VO).
- Participate in project meetings to document cost-related discussions and site reports.
- Support the team in conducting market research on material pricing and procurement trends.
- Organize and maintain accurate project filing systems and cost documentation.
- Assist in the reconciliation of final accounts upon project completion.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and numerical accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (familiarity with AutoCAD or BIM is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a professional team.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Willingness to travel to project sites within the Kuala Lumpur/Klang Valley area as required.
- Available for a minimum internship duration of 3 to 6 months.
