Responsibility
- Lead and manage all quantity surveying activities, including cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting for construction projects.
- Prepare and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and variations to ensure favorable terms and compliance with legal and company standards.
- Conduct regular cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project expenses and maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to align financial objectives with project deliverables.
- Monitor and control project cash flow, including invoicing, payments, and financial forecasting.
- Ensure adherence to local regulations, industry standards, and company policies in all financial and contractual matters.
- Provide expert advice on procurement strategies, material costs, and risk management to senior stakeholders.
- Mentor and supervise junior quantity surveyors and support staff to foster a high-performing team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., RICS, AIQS) is a plus.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within a main contractor or large-scale construction firm.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar projects from inception to completion, including cost control and contract administration.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, JCT) and local regulatory requirements in Indonesia.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Candy, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment.
