Responsibility
- Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Monitor and document quality metrics, including defect rates, non-conformances, and corrective actions, using statistical process control (SPC) tools.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Perform calibration and maintenance of quality inspection equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other relevant quality management systems.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards, best practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance process efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Professional Certificate in Engineering (Automotive, Industrial, Mechanical, or related fields) or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aluminium, automotive, or industrial sectors.
- Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and statistical process control (SPC) methodologies.
- Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) techniques, such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, or 8D Problem Solving.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work in Bali, Indonesia, and adapt to a dynamic and multicultural work environment.
