Responsibility
- Conduct detailed inspections of gas turbine components to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Utilize advanced measurement tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, hardness testers) to verify dimensional accuracy and material integrity.
- Identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations, documenting findings in inspection reports with clear recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain calibration records for inspection equipment and ensure adherence to ISO and other quality management systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
- Support audits and compliance checks by internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in gas turbine, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools (e.g., CMM, micrometers, calipers, hardness testers) and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T.
- Strong understanding of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and regulatory requirements in the energy or aerospace sectors.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues efficiently.
- Experience with metallurgical testing (e.g., microstructure analysis, non-destructive testing) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to document findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment with a commitment to safety and quality.
