Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, materials, and finished products to identify defects and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommending strategic improvements.
- Ensure compliance with local and international quality standards, including ISO 9001, and support certification processes as needed.
- Train and mentor team members on quality control best practices and the importance of maintaining high standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using quality tools and techniques, including statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis (RCA), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
- Experience with auditing and inspection processes, including internal and external audits.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) or other quality-related certifications is a plus.
