Responsibility
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Operate and calibrate precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM) to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
- Document and report quality control findings, including non-conformities, defects, and deviations, with clear recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement quality improvement initiatives and reduce defect rates.
- Perform first-article inspections (FAI) and in-process quality checks to maintain consistency across production batches.
- Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures, work instructions, and inspection checklists.
- Participate in internal and external audits to ensure adherence to ISO, AS9100, or other relevant industry standards.
- Train and mentor junior staff on quality control protocols and best practices in precision engineering.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control within precision engineering, aerospace, automotive, or medical device manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, surface roughness testers) and interpreting engineering drawings (GD&T).
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, BOMs, and inspection reports.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis (RCA) methodologies.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to create clear, concise reports.
