Responsibility
- Conduct thorough inspections of trucks and heavy equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and customer specifications.
- Identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations in materials, components, and finished products, and document findings accurately.
- Perform functional and performance testing on heavy machinery to verify operational efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, including non-conformance reports (NCRs), and recommend solutions to resolve quality concerns.
- Monitor and maintain quality control records, ensuring traceability and adherence to ISO and other relevant standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and streamline inspection processes.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements in QC/QA for heavy equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance, preferably in the manufacturing, automotive, or heavy equipment industry.
- Strong knowledge of QC/QA methodologies, inspection techniques, and testing procedures for trucks and heavy machinery.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, or other relevant quality management systems is a plus.
- Proficient in using measurement tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic software for heavy equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Certification in Quality Control, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing is highly advantageous.
