Responsibility
- Oversee daily airside operations, including aircraft marshalling, ground handling, and baggage services, to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.
- Lead and mentor a team of airside personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with airlines, airport authorities, and other stakeholders to optimize turnaround times and minimize operational disruptions.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular audits and risk assessments to maintain a secure airside environment.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with local and international aviation regulations, including ICAO and IATA standards.
- Manage resources, including equipment and personnel, to meet operational demands and service level agreements.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents, leading crisis management efforts to ensure swift resolution and minimal impact on operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Logistics, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in airside operations, ground handling, or a similar role within the aviation industry.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and driving operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of aviation safety regulations, including ICAO, IATA, and local airport authority requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions.
- Certification in aviation safety or ground handling operations is a plus.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as required by operational needs.
