Responsibility
- Conduct thorough inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform dimensional checks, visual inspections, and non-destructive testing (NDT) to identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities.
- Document inspection results accurately and prepare detailed reports for quality assurance records and client submissions.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and project teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence of defects.
- Monitor and verify the calibration of inspection tools, equipment, and measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Participate in pre-production meetings, quality audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality performance.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures during all inspection activities.
- Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors or production staff on quality control processes and best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a QC Inspector in the Oil & Gas, manufacturing, or related heavy industry.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards such as ISO 9001, API, ASME, or other relevant industry certifications.
- Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), magnetic particle testing (MT), or liquid penetrant testing (PT) is a plus.
- Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and hardness testers.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of work.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare clear and concise inspection reports.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in quality control or inspection (e.g., AWS CWI, CSWIP, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
