Responsibility
- Perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured components using advanced measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
- Interpret and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to verify product conformity.
- Document inspection results, deviations, and non-conformities in detailed reports for quality assurance records.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify root causes of defects and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct first-article inspections (FAI) and in-process quality checks to ensure adherence to customer and industry standards.
- Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to guarantee accuracy and reliability of measurements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and workflows to enhance efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean or Six Sigma, to optimize quality processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, or a related field.
- Proven experience (1-3 years) in dimensional inspection, quality control, or metrology within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM).
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management systems is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and quality data management software.
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a team.
