Responsibility
- Conduct thorough inspections of welding and fabrication works to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments and testing equipment.
- Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports for review by project managers and stakeholders.
- Identify and report any deviations or defects, recommending corrective actions to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement quality control procedures and improve processes.
- Ensure all work adheres to applicable industry codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Participate in internal and external audits to verify compliance with quality management systems.
- Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors and production staff on quality control best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in welding and fabrication.
- Certification in welding inspection (e.g., CWI, CSWIP) is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and ultrasonic testing devices.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Effective communication skills to document findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
