Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control systems to ensure product consistency and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, raw materials, and finished goods to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Ensure strict adherence to Halal certification requirements, including documentation, process validation, and compliance with Islamic dietary laws.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to address quality-related concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of quality control tests, inspections, and non-conformance reports for regulatory and internal review.
- Train and educate staff on quality control procedures, Halal compliance, and best practices in food safety and hygiene.
- Stay updated on local and international food safety regulations, Halal standards, and industry trends to ensure continuous improvement.
- Participate in third-party audits and certifications, representing the company in discussions with Halal certification bodies and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in Halal compliance are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality control, preferably within the food manufacturing industry, with a focus on Halal certification.
- In-depth knowledge of Halal standards (e.g., MUI, JAKIM, or international equivalents) and food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams, auditors, and certification bodies.
- Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Indonesian or Malay is advantageous.
