We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Supervisor for Quality Control (Retail) to join our dynamic team in Bali. Responsibility
- Monitor and inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company, national, and international quality standards (e.g., ISO, HACCP, GMP).
- Conduct routine quality tests (e.g., sensory, microbiological, chemical) and document results accurately in compliance logs.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality deviations, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Assist in developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control protocols for retail products.
- Ensure all products meet retail-specific requirements, including packaging integrity, labeling accuracy, and shelf-life validation.
- Support internal and external audits (e.g., customer, regulatory) by providing data, samples, and compliance evidence.
- Train and supervise junior QC staff on testing methodologies, safety protocols, and documentation practices.
- Analyze quality data trends and prepare reports for management to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field. Diploma holders with relevant experience may also apply.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Control/Assurance within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry, preferably in a retail-focused environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, Halal certification).
- Proficient in laboratory testing techniques (e.g., pH, moisture content, microbiological analysis) and quality control tools (e.g., calipers, spectrophotometers).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to interpret test results and identify non-conformities.
- Familiarity with retail compliance requirements and experience working with retail clients or distributors.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams (Production, R&D, Logistics).
- Ability to work in shift-based environments and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
