As a QC Executive specializing in Halal food assembly, you will play a critical role in overseeing production processes, conducting rigorous inspections, and implementing quality assurance protocols. Your expertise will help uphold our commitment to delivering premium, Halal-compliant food products to a global market.

Responsibility

  • Monitor and inspect food production processes to ensure compliance with Halal certification requirements and company quality standards.
  • Conduct regular audits of raw materials, packaging, and finished products to verify Halal integrity and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP principles.
  • Document and report quality control findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Train and educate staff on Halal handling procedures, food safety protocols, and quality control measures.
  • Coordinate with external Halal certification bodies to facilitate inspections, audits, and certification renewals.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Halal-compliant food assembly and processing.
  • Investigate customer complaints or product defects and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related field. Diploma holders with relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Quality Control/Assurance within the food manufacturing industry, preferably with Halal certification exposure.
  • In-depth knowledge of Halal food regulations, Islamic dietary laws, and certification processes (e.g., MUI, JAKIM, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
