Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures to ensure product compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods using precision measuring tools and testing equipment.
- Analyze quality data and generate reports to identify trends, root causes of defects, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Perform calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Train and mentor staff on quality control protocols, best practices, and safety standards.
- Lead internal audits and support external audits to maintain certifications and regulatory compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or a similar role within the manufacturing or machinery industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram).
- Proficiency in using inspection tools such as CMM, calipers, micrometers, and hardness testers.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Certifications in Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) or Lean Manufacturing are a plus.
