Responsibility
- Inspect and verify the quality of fresh and frozen products against company and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and document temperature controls, storage conditions, and hygiene practices in compliance with food safety protocols.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to manage bad stock, reduce waste, and ensure timely removal of expired or non-compliant products.
- Maintain accurate daily quality reports, including deviations, corrective actions, and trend analysis.
- Conduct sensory evaluations (e.g., color, texture, odor) to assess product freshness and consistency.
- Assist in implementing and auditing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for product handling and storage.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to address quality issues and recommend improvements.
- Support training programs for staff on quality control best practices and food safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Agriculture, Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in quality assurance, preferably in fresh/frozen food, retail, or FMCG industries.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) and local/regional regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to identify quality deviations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work in cold storage environments and lift moderate weights (up to 20 kg).
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, as needed.
