Responsibility
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished metal products to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
- Perform dimensional, visual, and functional testing using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM) and document findings accurately.
- Identify defects, non-conformities, or deviations and initiate corrective actions in collaboration with production and engineering teams.
- Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and quality documentation in compliance with ISO and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze quality control data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality management systems (QMS) during all inspection activities.
- Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment to guarantee accuracy and reliability.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing support to achieve and maintain certifications.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, or a related role within metals manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, ASME) and familiarity with inspection tools and techniques.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for metal products.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to detect even minor defects or inconsistencies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., CQI, Six Sigma) is a plus but not required.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
