Responsibility
- Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform environmental monitoring and microbial identification using aseptic techniques and advanced laboratory equipment.
- Document and analyze test results, preparing detailed reports for regulatory and internal review.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, calibrate instruments, and ensure a clean, organized workspace in accordance with GMP guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate deviations, non-conformances, and out-of-specification (OOS) results.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to their continuous improvement.
- Participate in audits, both internal and external, to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new microbiological methods, and regulatory changes affecting QC processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent in a science-related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy).
- 1-2 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques, including culture methods, PCR, and rapid microbiological methods.
- Familiarity with GMP, GLP, and other regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, EMA).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a sterile, controlled environment.
- Proficient in using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
