Responsibility
- Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Collaborate with development, product, and business teams to define quality metrics and acceptance criteria for new features.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize product defects and enhance user experience.
- Stay updated with the latest QA tools, technologies, and industry best practices, and drive their adoption within the team.
- Prepare and present QA reports, metrics, and insights to stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior QA role.
- Proven expertise in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JMeter) and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Experience working in a multicultural or international environment, preferably with Japanese stakeholders.
- Familiarity with performance testing, security testing, and API testing is highly desirable.
- Certifications in QA (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) or relevant fields are a plus.
