Responsibility
- Lead and supervise the end-to-end purchasing process, from vendor selection to contract negotiation and order fulfillment.
- Develop and implement cost-saving strategies while ensuring the procurement of high-quality materials and services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conducting regular performance evaluations and addressing any issues promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with finance, production, and logistics teams to align procurement activities with budgetary and operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record of negotiating contracts, reducing costs, and improving procurement efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, ERP software, and procurement best practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, transport, or logistics industries is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and procurement software.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
